Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

Taskiddo Routine is operated by Taskiddo LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Taskiddo Routine website, web app, iOS, Android and Mac apps, and the screentime agent (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who this policy covers

A Taskiddo Routine account belongs to an adult (18 or older) who signs up. An account holder can invite other adults as members of the same household and create profiles for the people whose tasks they manage — including children. Children do not sign up or log in with their own email; they use Taskiddo Routine through a profile that an account holder creates and controls.

Information we collect

Account information. Your email address, a hashed password (we never store the password itself), your household's name and timezone, your role in the household, and invitations you send or receive. If you set a household PIN, we store only a hash of it.

Profile information. For each profile: a name, an emoji and color, and — only if you add one — a profile photo.

Content you create. Tasks, sections, labels, notes, repeating schedules, completion history, points, streaks, achievements, rewards and redemptions, calendar events, meals and meal plans.

Photos and files. Attachments you add to tasks and photos or files submitted as proof that a task was completed. We access your camera or photo library only when you choose to add one.

Taskee assistant conversations. The messages you send to Taskee, its replies, and the changes it proposes.

Screentime data. If you install the screentime agent on a device and pair it, we receive the names of apps used and websites visited on that device, how long each was used, and details about the device itself: its name and hostname, operating system, a hardware identifier, the agent version and when it was last online. We also store the rules, blocklists and extra time you set. The agent does not record screen contents, keystrokes, messages, or the pages within a website.

Notification and device data. If you turn on browser notifications, the push subscription your browser gives us. On each request our servers process your IP address and basic browser or device information to deliver the Service, keep you signed in and limit repeated sign-in or PIN attempts.

Cookies and local storage. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and local storage on your device for display preferences (such as which profiles you hide). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • provide the Service: show tasks, calendars and dashboards, sync between your devices, award points and achievements, and enforce the screentime rules you set;
  • answer your requests to Taskee and make the changes you confirm;
  • send account email (sign-up codes, sign-in links, invitations, email changes) and notifications you turned on;
  • keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems;
  • comply with law.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, show ads, or use your content to train AI models.

Children's information

Taskiddo Routine is used by families, so profiles may hold information about children under 13. That information is provided and controlled by the adult account holder, not collected from the child to set up an account. Some features can collect information while a child uses their profile — for example, a proof photo taken on a shared device, or app and website usage reported by the screentime agent on a child's computer.

By creating a profile for a child and turning on these features, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have their permission, and you consent to the collection and use described in this policy. As the account holder you can review, change or delete a child's profile and its data at any time in the app, and you can stop further collection by deleting the profile or revoking the device. Children's information is used only to provide the Service to your household, never for advertising, and is not disclosed to anyone except the service providers listed below.

We do not knowingly let anyone under 18 create an account. If you believe a child has done so, contact us and we will delete it.

Who can see your information

Your household's data is visible to the members of your household, according to their role. Taskiddo staff access it only when needed to support you, secure the Service, or comply with law.

We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf and only to run the Service:

  • Fly.io — application hosting;
  • DigitalOcean — database hosting;
  • Tigris — storage for photos and attachments;
  • Resend — delivery of account email;
  • AI model providers (such as Anthropic) — process Taskee messages, together with the task and profile details needed to answer them;
  • browser push services (Apple, Google, Mozilla) — deliver notifications you turned on.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

How long we keep information

  • Account, profile and household content: while your account exists.
  • Detailed screentime activity: 30 days. Daily usage totals are kept while the profile exists.
  • Taskee conversations: deleted 90 days after their last message.
  • Security and change logs: 90 days.
  • Deleted photos and attachments: removed from storage within a day.
  • Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes; a revoked device's access token is deleted at once.

Backups made by our hosting provider may keep copies for a limited time after deletion.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and correct: view and edit your account, profiles and content in the app.
  • Delete content: delete tasks, photos, profiles and other content at any time.
  • Delete your account: in your settings on the web, in the iOS or Android app under Settings, or by emailing us (see how to delete your account). Deleting your account deletes a household you own alone, with all its profiles, content and files. If other adults share a household you own, you must transfer ownership first. If you are a member of someone else's household, you leave it and the content you created there stays with that household.
  • Screentime: revoke a device from the screentime dashboard to stop collection from it.
  • Get a copy: email us to request a copy of your data.

Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states, the EU or the UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We honor these requests for all users. Email us from the address on your account; we may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

All connections to Taskiddo Routine are encrypted. Passwords, PINs, pairing codes and device tokens are stored hashed, and repeated failed sign-in and PIN attempts are limited. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.

Where data is processed

We are based in the United States. Our servers are in Singapore, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and change the date above. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
